Areas I work with
Identity, Self-Esteem & Belonging
Therapy can be a space to explore identity, self-esteem, shame, confidence, belonging, culture, sexuality, self-worth, and how you relate to yourself. You may feel unsure of who you are, overly self-critical, not good enough, or caught between different expectations.
Together, we can begin to understand the experiences, relationships, and beliefs that have shaped your sense of self, and create space for a more compassionate relationship with yourself.
Anxiety & Overwhelm
Anxiety can show itself through panic, overthinking, racing thoughts, constant worry, stress, restlessness, difficulty sleeping, or feeling emotionally overwhelmed. You may feel on edge, unable to relax, or caught in cycles of fear about the future.
In therapy, we can explore what your anxiety may be communicating, what feelings may sit underneath it, and how past or present experiences may be contributing to how you feel now.
Low Mood & Depression
Low mood and depression can leave you feeling sad, empty, hopeless, tired, unmotivated, withdrawn, or disconnected from yourself and others. You may find it difficult to enjoy things, make decisions, or understand why life feels heavy.
Therapy can offer a non-judgemental space to speak honestly about these feelings. Together, we can begin to understand what may be contributing to your depression or low mood, and what your feelings may be trying to express.
Relationships & Family Dynamics
Relationship difficulties can involve conflict, communication problems, trust, intimacy, attachment, boundaries, loneliness, or feeling misunderstood. You may notice similar patterns repeating in friendships, romantic relationships, family relationships, or work relationships.
In therapy, we can explore how early relationships and family dynamics may have shaped the way you relate to others, protect yourself, express needs, manage closeness, or respond to conflict.
Grief, Loss & Change
Grief and loss can follow bereavement, separation, endings, illness, family change, identity change, or major life transitions. You may feel sadness, anger, guilt, numbness, confusion, or a sense that life has changed in ways that are hard to put into words.
Therapy can offer a confidential space to process what has been lost, what has changed, and how you are finding your way through it. There is no correct way to grieve, and the work can move at your pace
Addiction & Repeating Patterns
Addiction and compulsive behaviours can include alcohol, substances, emotional eating, avoidance, overworking, self-sabotage, or other patterns that feel difficult to stop. These behaviours may bring temporary relief while also creating distress, shame, secrecy, or fear of relapse.
In therapy, we can think together about what these patterns may be helping you cope with, what keeps them going, and what might gradually begin to change. The aim is not judgement, but understanding.
